This completely integrated approach, along with the acquisition of its latest subsidiary, iCrane, has enabled Groupe LAR to reinforce its position in the national and international arenas.
Groupe LAR developed from LAR Machinerie inc., founded in 1942 in Métabetchouan in Lac-Saint-Jean.
In 1988, LAR Matagami inc. was founded. Located in northwest Quebec, it was created during the construction of the enormous dams on James Bay.
In 1989, Consultants Procad inc. was created.
In 2008, the acquisition of iCrane Systems inc. completed the current structure of Groupe LAR.
