The main scope of Axens’ business is focused on the conversion of oil, gas, biomass and coal to fuels and major petrochemical intermediates.

OUR AMBITIONS: Our ambition is to be the reference technology company for applications in refining, petrochemicals and gas processing. We are also active in industrial water treatment markets. Actively preparing for the future, we aim to be a leader in alternative fuels: conversion of renewable lipids to diesel and jet fuel, production of high-quality distillates from direct coal-liquefaction and the manufacture of liquid products through the conversion of synthesis gas from various feedstocks such as natural gas, biomass and coal.
OUR FOUNDATION: Axens, an IFP Energies nouvelles group company, was created in 2001 through the merger of Procatalyse with the Technology Licensing & Service Division of IFP Energies nouvelles. This combination provides a single-source offering of technologies, products and services enabling us to respond more efficiently to customer needs.
